Cruising for an Upgrade: Toyota Updates Land Cruiser for 2016

The Toyota Land Cruiser Is Been A Furious Predator since its Launch 1951.
Since Its Launch It had its Rawness and Appeal But other Rivals Also Stepped In With their Beasts Like Nissan Safari, JEEP Wrangler, Mitsubishi Pajero, & Land Rover Discovery.
Usually, every new model has really different design on the outside, however, the Japanese manufacturer wanted to make the potential customers feel like they already know the vehicle, like they are familiar with it from before. Because of that, the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser will not be drastically changed on the outside, instead, the exterior will only suffer minor changes.

New headlights and front bumper will be introduced, which will definitely have an important impact on the look of the front of the car. The back of the car will be fairly similar to the current model, with just a few small changes to the taillights and rear bumper. Toyota is planning to offer 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser with new color options and alloy wheels with modern and fresh design.

The 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser will be similar to its predecessor on the outside, however, the interior will be really different. The Japanese manufacturer has decided to completely redesign the interior and create an interior that the buyers wanted to have. Seats will be made out of high quality materials and center console will be much bigger than the one in the current Land Cruiser.

Maybe the biggest change that comes with 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser is the bigger list of features and equipment that will come as standard in the base model. With this move, the Japanese manufacturer will try to differentiate its SUV from the others – it will offer lots of equipment and features in the base model, which will be the cheapest.

2016 Toyota Land Cruiser will not be a cheap SUV – according to the latest reports, the base model will cost around $70,000. But, more details about price range we can expect in spring of this year.

Release date

The manufacturer did not announce the official date, but reports suggest that the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser will be unveiled at the end of the 2016. But, hybrid edition should appear before than standard model.

New SUV shows how car companies can't compete against Tesla

The auto industry isn't going to be able to produce a successful foil for Tesla anytime soon, and Audi's all-electric SUV shows why, says Stifel analyst James Albertine.

Earlier in the week, Audi announced its plans to introduce its answer to Tesla's upcoming Model X SUV.

The Audi E-Tron Quattro concept is a four-seat electric crossover coupe upon which the German automaker will base the first of a new line of electric cars set to debut in 2018.

But Albertine thinks the new Audi electric crossover highlights the auto industry's futile attempts to effectively compete against Tesla.

"Both the timing (2018) and impracticality (seating for 4) of this upcoming concept tells us traditional OEM competition in the luxury EV segment remains significantly behind that of TESLA," Albertine wrote in a note to clients.

Tesla's Model X  — which is expected to debut this fall — will feature greater levels of utility along with better range than the Audi's 310 miles on a single charge.

The Stifel analyst thinks the E-Tron is more likely to become a competitor for Audi's own gas- or diesel-powered Q5 and Q7 SUVs than the Model X.

"It appears key competitors are still finding it difficult to deliver a fully electric vehicle that can offer the same, if not better, attributes than its existing gasoline powered fleet," according to Albertine.

It should be noted that Stifel's incredibly bullish on Tesla, with a target price of $400. Tesla closed Thursday, down more than 5% at $242.

But Tesla is in a unique position where it does not have a true direct competitor. In June, Jefferies auto analyst Dan Dolev released a Tesla research note in which he and his team report on a survey Jefferies conducted of 145 US Tesla owners.

The survey showed that Tesla's only current product, the $70,000 to $120,000 Model S sedan, competes with both high-end luxury models and cars that cost only a fraction of its price. About 70% of owners surveyed moved to Tesla from cars that cost less than $60,000. In fact, Dolev found that Tesla buyers are willing to pay a 60% price premium in order to get their hands on the car.
